Birds of Bolsa Chica

These birds were observed at the Bolsa Chica Lowlands Restoration Site during twelve saturation surveys conducted every two months from October 2007 to August 2009.  It only includes birds in the restored areas (including the Full Tidal Basin, Rabbit Island, the Muted Tidal Basins, Seasonal Ponds, and the Muted Pocket Marsh) (map of surveyed ares).  There are additional species regularly observed in Inner and Outer Bolsa Bay, which are areas not included in the surveys described above, as well as occasional rare birds present but not detected within the restored lowlands.
